Target Background

Most important serine protease inhibitor in plasma that regulates the blood coagulation cascade. AT-III inhibits thrombin as well as factors IXa, Xa and XIa. Its inhibitory activity is greatly enhanced in the presence of heparin. Most important serine protease inhibitor in plasma that regulates the blood coagulation cascade.
